Starting your journey toward studying at Al-Azhar in Cairo begins with the registration process through Al-Azhar USA. To begin, the student must complete the initial registration requirements: Pay the $200 registration fee. Submit a copy of your valid passport. Submit two recent passport-size photographs. Once these documents and the registration fee are received, Al-Azhar USA will prepare and forward the required registration materials to Al-Azhar in Cairo for the student's registration process. Our team will guide students and their families through the necessary steps and help them prepare for the requirements involved in pursuing their education at Al-Azhar. Your journey begins with preparation, guidance, and a commitment to Islamic education.
Prospective students applying from the United States and Canada must hold a valid high school diploma or a recognized equivalent qualification, successfully complete the official Arabic Language Course to demonstrate the required academic fluency, and pass the HADASA Exam (the High School Equivalency preparatory program).
Yes. All international applicants must successfully complete the official Arabic Language Course offered by Al-Azhar University to ensure they meet the proficiency standards required for academic study.
